Integrated Block Structure

During the first two years of the Tucson track of ArizonaMed the curriculum is designed in blocks that integrate the traditional basic science disciplines (anatomy, physiology, pathology, etc.) into organ system and disease units. Clinical content and skills are progressively integrated with basic science subjects. Woven through the blocks are curricular "threads" covering such topics as behavioral science, evidenced-based decision making, humanism, gender-specific medicine, medicine and society, and interprofessional education.
